| Background: | We're back. Kind of. We're back for a couple of logos this week just so you don't forget us while we're making our adjustments. Plus, who are we to deny someone their logo? It would be a crying shame. We kicking off this two-logo week with Dan Bodenstein and Totem Tales Publishing. Logoification starts now. |

Totem. Not to be mistaken with Toe Tim, the imaginary character I made up. We’ll talk about Totem in a minute, but let’s start with Toe Tim.
Toe Tim was unfortunately born with reversed toe disease (also made up.) For those of you who don’t live inside my imagination, reversed toe disease is a rare condition (effecting only one person), where the order of the toes are reversed. Big toe is pinky toe, pinky toe is big toe and so on and so forth. It’s a really terrible thing.
You would imagine that Toe Tim has one heck of a time finding shoes that will work with his condition. Surprisingly, this isn’t an issue. You see, Toe Tim just wears his shoes on the wrong feet. Well, for him they’re the right feet.
Toe Tim is an inspiration to me and to everyone else who encounters him. You can thank me later for introducing you to him today.
His condition is actually a blessing. Despite the many nasty comments and snickers from cruel kids, Toe Tim has used his rare disease to teach kids that, no matter what makes you different, you’re always special.
His imaginary words have gotten me through many a difficult time. I love you Toe Tim.
Totem, as in Totem Tales Publishing, actually does something very similar. They create characters, stories and products that help children understand important topics.
Such as Eartha the Sea Turtle, teaching kids about the importance of keeping our ocean’s clean. And then there’s Steven the Vegan, who is a young boy explaining to his friends why he’s a Vegan.
Kids can be cruel. We all know that. Many times, kids are cruel because they’re naive. It’s not always their fault, they just don’t know any better. That’s what is so great about the products that Totem Tales Publishing has put together. They’re helping parents teach their kids to be more educated, and in a fun way. Bully to buddy. That’s my motto.
As parents, we get it. Trust me, we definitely get it. And, with some good direction from Mr. Dan Bodenstein, we get it even more. When we get it, the logo just comes together that much easier.
It’s been awhile, but we’re hoping you haven’t forgotten the drill. Vote on the logo below, leave us a comment (or two or three) and go check out Totem Tales online (and pick yourself up a copy of Eartha).
