| Background: | How many companies do you know that claim to be using social media for their business, but don't engage in conversations? Wait, you don't have to answer that ... it's a lot. The problem is, they don't understand what to do with their accounts when they get them. They have no strategy, so they're using it all wrong. Not anymore though. Sondra Unlimited is to the rescue. And, the crowd goes wild. |

You guys remember Sondra. We first introduced you to her in April, as the blog transcribing side-kick to Adventure Penguin. It’s all coming back to you now, isn’t it?
Remember the cute little waddling Penguin that travels the world, sharing its experiences with us along the way? Well, it turns out that the Penguins side-kick, Sondra, is going to be moonlighting with a company she calls, Sondra Unlimited.
We ask that you don’t tell the penguin though. She hasn’t broke the news to him yet, and if it comes from anyone but her, it will break his little penguin heart. You understand, right? Oh, and if it accidentally slips out, I’ll get my other penguin friends to come to your house and flipper slap you. Are we clear?
Oh, I’m just playing. I just play a bad-ass on the internet, I’m really just a big ‘ole softy. Love, not war, is my motto.
That’s the interesting thing about the internet and the advent of social media. You can really become anyone you want. I’d always advise you to stay true to yourself. But, there’s nothing wrong with creating a couple of characters for the hell of it.
Give it a shot. Create a Twitter account for an alter-ego and have fun with it. Hell, become a tweeting nose hair. Who cares. The point is, you can play any role you want, it’s just for fun.
But, when you’re ready to get down to business, social media is also a great way to drive results. Warning though, you can’t just set up a few accounts, put them on auto-pilot and expect results. It just doesn’t work that way. There are ground rules and secrets to becoming successful.
Those things are taught by our penguin-loving friend, Sondra Cernigliaro and Sondra Unlimited.
She’s a social media architect, helping companies develop a social media strategy, so that they are able to listen, join and create conversations, which enhance their brands.
She does this by designing and integrating a collection of social media tools into a cohesive tool box for a business to easily manage. It’s just what the social media doctor ordered. (Which, by the way, is another alter-ego you could create online).
Without the traveling penguin knowing, we worked with Sondra (between flights) to create an identity for her business and soon to be, website. We chose to use a stylized infinity symbol to represent Sondras’ infinite wisdom and the unlimited potential when you hire her. We think it works well, but we’ll let you be the judge.
You’re going to want to pay attention today, because you’re going to get the opportunity to win a few things. Stay posted on our Facebook and Twitter pages to see what to do. It’s an exciting hump day and we encourage you to stick around with us.

It is not you. I don’t like that it all lower case. Font is all wrong. It doesn’t jump out and hit me. It really does not fit your personality.

The logo looks so unfinished…It’s all so wrong…I don’t know where to start. The gray background does nothing for branding and nothing about it leads me to believe it is a business at all…I am very surprised as Sondra always tells me how fabulous your work is. Other logos presented are not much better. In fact, the ribbon looks like a hair bow and the red reminds me of an AIDS awareness branding affect.

So all of our logos are bad?

This logo looks so plain and needs something. I agree with Dabney where they say “it looks so unfinished.” It needs color, maybe a different infinity symbol and definetly MORE COLOR! Your logos are usually good, but this one just doesn’t work.

I’m not sure where all this negative karma is coming from, the logo seems to match the company name. Love how the infinity symbol is woven into the logo as a play on the word unlimited. Maybe if Sondra’s website was up I would better be able to compare the logo to what she is offering, but with it still under contruction I can only go on the tag line. Great job guys! Another home run…

I like the idea of the infinity symbol, but I’m not sold on the gray industrial look of the whole thing. I think it’s headed in the right direction, but may need some more tweaking.

I really like this one guys – NICE JOB per usual! It’s very clean and modern…almost futuristic! I love that her name fits with the infinity symbol. Another great piece of art!

Doll, I don’t like it. Doesn’t show your personality which is fun, fierce & fabulous. So not deserving of someone who saves the day, I’m afraid.

Very cool – I love everything you guys do!

Not sure that that the infinity symbol says anything about social networking- and besides it’s not correctly drawn. If in 3d it should be drawn like a mobius strip I like the toned down palette with red. The design itself is so centered that it seems very static where social networks are dynamic. using 3 different and unrelated fonts seems a bit of overkill to me. Love the web site though, and the writing style is very fun and entertaining

ouch!
I love you my friends…and new friends. Have you seen the adventure penguin logo they did? Super cool.
The feedback definitely runs from hot to cold.
For those who didn’t like it…what would you change?
Tony- I always tweet I love your logos.
marcella- what colors do you suggest?
Dan-I’m interviewing website designers & have it narrowed down to 3. We want to do a design that ties in once the logo is complete. It would be silly to design a website theme & not have a logo to match.
I didn’t think it looked like a hair band–more like a rubber band. It’s suppose to be an infinity symbol-like unlimited.
Cheryl: what colors do you see? Not sure what would be fun, fierce & fabulous (hey-that’s my word).
Liz-what colors?
Elizabeth-thanks for the clean & modern comments
Ann-I agree w/ ya-I dig what they do.
Keep the comments coming.

It’s called creativity people. Some will like it and some won’t. I doubt that they have ever created a logo that EVERYONE liked. Beauty is in the yes……well you get it. Nobody get’s married to an ugly person but the world is full of them. IDYL has done four of them for me and I love them all. I never make a buying decision based on a logo alone. A GREAT company make a logo and website GREAT.
I really like the logo and I am considering using the services once the site is up and running.
Keep up the good work….take a breath, everything will be ok.

Ooooh… a rubber band twisted around, and maybe shooting through the air would be cool! (Okay I’m sounding like a “spinning logo… on fire!” person…) Jumping on Sondra’s rubber band comment, I think the ribbon looking like a rubber band could make it more exciting, less stuffy, and give the feeling of action.
I can see having to be careful of it looking like one of those support ribbons, but when it’s gray like that, it doesn’t remind me of that.
I like it, but I think it could still be improved, too.
